Mercy Flight Central, in conjunction with Gouverneur Hospital, is hosting an Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome Training on May 28 at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room at Gouverneur Hospital. The training will be led by Dr. Chris Galton, MD, NRP, FP-C.

Dr. Galton is Chief Medical Director for Mercy Flight Central and an anesthesiologist and intensivist with UR Medicine — Strong Memorial Hospital. Dr. Galton’s introduction to medicine was as a paramedic in the suburbs of Denver, and he continues to be an active part of the EMS community throughout New York State and beyond. He was named “EMS Physician of the Year” in 2015 by the Monroe-Livingston Regional EMS Council.
