The Finger Lakes Regional EMS Council has announced its 2019 EMS Conference, which will be held February 22-23 at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY.
The first day of the conference — Friday, February 22 — will run from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will contain general sessions on crime scene preservation, social media, and 12-Lead EKGs. It will also offer of several CME workshops for instructors, including:
- “Be Ready for Everything: Preparing Practitioners for the Worst-Case Scenario”
- “Good EMTs Fail: Building Ego Strength and Resilience in the Classroom”
- “Is Your Classroom a Time Machine? Crafting Educational Success for the Modern Student”
- “Clinical Judgement and the Affective Domain: How Affective Lessons Can Improve Critical Decision-Making Skills”
Day two of the conference — Saturday, February 23 — will be from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will consist of four workshop sessions, each containing three topic areas of discussion. The conference will conclude with a round table of physicians and a general wrap-up.
