The next MASH (Medical Academy of Sciences and Health) Camp will be held February 18-20, 2020. Students interested in attending MASH Camp are encouraged to apply. Application deadline is December 20, 2019.
The Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization (FDRHPO), in collaboration with four regional hospitals, is now accepting applications for its February 2020 Medical Academy of Sciences and Health (MASH) Camp.
MASH Camp is a unique opportunity for students entering grades 8-12 to experience and explore the healthcare field in an interactive way. By participating in hands-on activities that highlight various career opportunities, students will learn about the educational requirements, skills, typical job duties and personal qualities of specific healthcare professionals.
Additionally, involvement in MASH Camp increases student awareness and understanding of the hospital setting and provides students the opportunity to network with healthcare professionals in their community to build long-term mentoring relationships.
Each session will help answer questions and provide students with a path to explore their career options in depth. Regardless of hospital placement, each day will be different and provide interesting, thought-provoking exercises and real-life experiences.
