Role: Regional Coalition/Committee Liaison
Leesa joined the FDRHPO team in June 2015, serving as Program Manager for Behavioral Health and Workforce before becoming Regional Coalition/Committee Liaison in 2017. As the Regional Liaison, Leesa has the ability and flexibility to focus exclusively on networking, collaborating, supporting and assisting with the facilitation of information with community organizations, committees and prevention coalitions.
She has over fifteen years’ experience working in the nonprofit sector, including behavioral health, drug and alcohol prevention/treatment, case management, home health care and developmental disabilities programs. She is also experienced in office management and providing oversight of both clinical and community based services.
Prior to joining FDRHPO, she was the Jefferson County Coordinator/Home Services Director for the Cerebral Palsy Association and Community Health Center of the North Country.
Leesa earned an Associate of Arts Degree at Jefferson Community College and completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree at SUNY Potsdam. She completed the Jefferson County Community Management Training Program and is also a recent graduate of the Jefferson Leadership Institute. Leesa has completed numerous professional development seminars related to treatment, prevention, developmental disabilities and nonprofit management. She is currently pursuing a Certificate in Project Management. She believes in giving back to the community and has volunteered for Literacy Volunteers, Hospice, the Teen Center, the Relay for Life and Regional Community Coalitions.
Leesa currently serves on the Jefferson County Long Term Care Advisory Committee, NY Connects, the Victim’s Assistance Board of Directors, the Lewis County Priorities Council and attends Suicide Prevention and Community Coalitions in each county, as well as related subcommittees across the region.
