Role: Fiber Network Manager & Telemedicine Network Program Coordinator
Robert (Bob) Hunt serves both as FDRHPO’s Fiber Manager and its Telemedicine Network Program Coordinator.
He has extensive experience with telemedicine, fiber networks, USDA/FCC broadband funding and many other areas related to telemedicine.
Bob was instrumental in creating the North Country Telemedicine Project (NCTP), which built our regional fiber optic telehealth network. The initial deployment connected 28 healthcare sites. In 2014, the NCTP increased member locations by 42.
Bob now manages the ACTION network that spans the northeastern portion of NY and together the two networks encompass almost all of Upstate and Northern NY.
